Kevin O'Toole and Kelsey Schilperoort met through their love of music and laughter.
We both attended the Olin College of Engineering in Needham, but somehow managed to miss meeting each other in a school of ~300 people! After graduating, we both stayed and worked in the Boston area, and eventually ended up meeting, thanks to many college friends we had in common. It turns out we had many interests in common as well, and we grew to be good friends through singing in the “Infrequencies” acapella group, playing in the local HONK marching band (Kevin on saxophone and Kelsey on piccolo), playing piano and vocal duets, solving puzzles and playing games together.
Kevin proposed on a trip in Boulder, Colorado with a puzzle hidden at the end of an escape room we solved together. During our long engagement, we have added two wonderful cats to our home, Legato and Glissando, and discovered a life we love living together in Arlington.
We are so excited to finally celebrate it with you in June!

Everything is happening all in one place: Farandnear reservation. The Trustees' land is limited to 5 events per year and we must be mindful of their hours and restrictions to help keep the land beautiful.
There is NO PARKING at Farandnear, but we've got you covered! Please park at one of our two shuttle locations for pickup — no DD or uber needed.
The first shuttle will run from in front of the Hilton Garden Inn to Farandnear.
If you are not staying at one of the hotels above, there is a parking lot for pickup at Bull Run Restaurant (215 Great Rd, Shirley, MA 01464). Please park behind the restaurant, over the wooden bridge (yes, you can drive over!)
Short, sweet, and mostly standing (chairs will be provided for guests requesting accommodation)
Lawn games, table games, puzzles, new friends, old friends, and an open bar
Step under the tent for dinner and dancing the night away
Shuttle back to both locations. Head to the Hilton Garden Inn for the afterparty!
Garden Semi-Formal
It's a celebration, so let's not let the flowers be the only bright colors! Dresses with prints, frills, or bright colors are encouraged. Colorful button-downs encouraged, with or without jackets or ties.
Weather in June is expected to be mildly warm (average high of 75). If you choose to wear a suit or sport coat, rest assured your seat at the reception table will be available all wedding long to leave your jacket when you'd like.
During the short ceremony, guests will mainly be standing (chairs will be provided for guests requesting accommodation). Please wear footwear appropriate for walking on grassy/uneven surfaces and which you would be comfortable standing in for at least 15-20 minutes.
Note that bridesmaids will be wearing a lilac/lavender shade, so please choose a different color if possible to add to our array of colors.
